Ugh I know that sounded really passive-aggressive but I was just honestly asking if you think you hold the same views as then or not.

Nah it's cool. To be honest those are pretty old, like early high school old. Like most people my age I'm pretty embarrassed by the way I acted as a teen. Those stamps were poorly designed, awkwardly phrased, and really in-your-face. :\ Still, I keep them for the same reason I keep old art - as a reminder of how far I've come.

As for the views expressed, I'd say roughly the same but with a deeper understanding than before. In all moral matters I stand in unity with the Catholic Church. That means sex is sacred and shouldn't be misused, relationships should be taken seriously, respect is due to everyone, and love is first above all. And when I say love I don't mean affectionate feelings - I mean fierce, unconditional, sacrificial love. That's something to strive for, you know?

If anything's changed it's that now I don't want to fight anyone over conflicting beliefs. Back in 2005-07 I thought I could be some sort of "cultural crusader", and as a result I made an ass of myself more often than not. ( Well intentioned, but still an ass. )
The switch was probably when someone reminded me that God doesn't need our defense, but we need His. Simple concept, profound impact. If I really believe something is true it won't offend me when someone else doesn't. But if I love someone I'll want to share it with them, right? So whatever good comes to me, it's my responsibility to pass it on. Gentle words, little gestures, quiet love.

That's the ideal at least. I'll get better at it with time (I hope!). ^^;

I don't know if that's the answer you were looking for. What prompted that question? What about yourself? Have you had any major world-views altered over time?

I saw your old stamps about modesty and such and I've never really seen anyone hold those values at a young age in such a day and age. (They're not really ones I agree with, but I know you're still entitled to your opinions.)

I keep my old stuff for that reason too! I used to be a bit of an Internet Tough Guy but I think all teens go through that ~edgy~ phase. I was pretty cynical and jaded around that time too.

Hm...I don't know if I've really had anything but my stance on abortion change (I was pro-life but am now pro-choice). I know that doesn't fall in line with most people's belief in the Catholic Church, and I know it's a very sensitive subject, so I won't go into it much further, ha ha *~* .

Are your views still the same as when you made those stamps or do you think you've changed to some degree? Just curious.
